Why in the world did we choose the domain name “Everyday Bullshit” anyway?   We get that question all the time and it’s a good one because “Everyday Bullshit” is a lousy name for a website.  Although some people may find it offensive and apparently Google isn’t that fond of it, for most of us it accurately reflects our frustration with life and mostly with RELATIONSHIPS!

Truth of the matter, a former girlfriend used the expression, “it’s just bullshit … the same bullshit everyday”,  anytime she was frustrated.  Much of that frustration apparently was caused by me so the expression stuck.   We shortened the phrase and viola’, there was the site name. Pretty good huh?

We also made the huge assumption that most folks  “everyday bullshit”  is caused by relationships.  Think about it for a moment there are all kinds of relationships; girl/boyfriends, spouses, teachers, employers, employees, co-workers, neighbors, parents, siblings, other family, etc.   The list goes on and on.

Even if you think some frustrations aren’t  ‘relationship issues’  they likely are.  For example, when you bring your car in for service and think they’re ripping you off, odds are if you have a good relationship with the dealer /garage, you’ll get a break on the price or some other kind of deal all based on your ‘relationship’ with them.

For example I only go to the car dealer for service.  People think I’m crazy because dealer prices are higher, but I get discounts on parts and labor everytime, either a free loaner car or they drive me to and from my home so I don’t have to wait, and the vehicle is washed everytime its serviced.  I can’t tell you how many times I’ve just stopped in for a minor issue and its taken care of with a $0.00 ticket even past warranty.  This isn’t a Mercedes, Lexus or BMW dealer either…its a Nissan dealership and I drive a truck..not exactly upscale.  It’s all based on a good relationship with the Service Writer built over a nine year period.  I didn’t even buy the vehicles there.  My point is almost everything in life comes down to Relationships and when they aren’t going well it causes a lot of unnecessary ‘BS’ in your life.

This website is all about relationships and how to deal with relationship issues and making relationships better.  We’ve gathered articles and reference material from all over the place and posted it for a few years now.  We MUST get to categorizing it all but there are so many categories of relationships we almost don’t know where to start.
